Ozone Vapor Parakite: Full Specs, Features and Atak 2 Harness

Quick answer: The Ozone Vapor is Ozone's first parakite released to the public, launched in September 2026. It comes in seven sizes from 11 to 25 m² flat, has 55 cells and a three-line design, and Ozone lists it as EN 926-1 certified (a structural load test). Ozone classes it "Intermediate | Sport". The 11 and 13 are speedflying sizes for expert pilots only. Ozone's parakite site pairs it with the Atak 2 harness.

    About Ozone

Ozone is based in the south of France beneath the Gourdon flying site, and its paragliders, paramotor wings and kites are sold through distributors, schools and dealers. In September 2026 it launched a dedicated parakite range and website, with the Vapor as its first wing. Ozone traces the Vapor's depower bridle back to a system it developed for snowkites in the early 2000s.

All sizes have 55 cells. Ozone notes that weights may vary by up to 50 g per size. Ozone hasn't published official pilot weight ranges or wind ranges. Sizing is done with a dealer, and Ozone suggests going up one size "for more comfort".

Design features (as described by Ozone)

    • Full BST (Black Sheep Technology) and an engineered reflex profile
    • Pure three-line design
    • Dedicated bridle system with adjustable dive response, from dynamic to mellow
    • Wooden safety handle for depowering
    • Long brake travel with a low stall point
    • Robust, thick, durable fabric, reinforced in high-stress areas

Ozone's chief designer David Dagault has said the Vapor started from a modified Viper concept but was fully re-engineered as a dedicated parakite.

    Who is the Vapor for?

Ozone classes the Vapor as "Intermediate | Sport". It warns that sizes 11 and 13 are speedflying wings for expert pilots with mini-wing or speedwing experience, to be flown only in smooth, laminar wind and never in strong, blustery, turbulent or thermic conditions. For help choosing a size, see our Ozone Vapor size guide.

    Harness: Ozone Atak 2

The Atak 2 is the only harness on Ozone's parakite site. Ozone lists it for speedflying, speedriding and upright kiting. It comes in size M (pilot height 160–185 cm, 1.17 kg) and size L (180–200 cm, 1.23 kg), is certified to EN 1651 for pilots up to 120 kg, and takes an optional OzAir inflatable protector (460 g).

See the Ozone Atak 2 harness and the OzAir protector.

    What's in the box

Ozone lists a PK rucksack, glider strap, stickers, repair cloth, bottle opener and certificate of authenticity. An Easy Bag is optional. Standard colours are Emerald Blue and Pink, and custom colours are available.

    Frequently asked questions

Is the Ozone Vapor EN certified?

Ozone lists every published size as certified to EN 926-1. That standard covers structural strength (load and shock testing). It isn't an EN A–D flight-behaviour classification. What EN 926-1 means.

Can I fly the Vapor in thermals?

Ozone says sizes 11 and 13 must never be flown in thermic conditions. Check the Vapor manual for the operating limits of each size.

How does the Vapor compare with other parakites?

See our comparison of every parakite brand.

Where can I buy an Ozone Vapor in Australia?

ParaglidingShop.com.au is an Ozone dealer. You can secure a Vapor with a $99 deposit or order now.

Specifications are from Ozone's published product pages as at October 2026 and may change. Always read the current Ozone manual before flying. Parakiting is a high-risk air sport: get proper instruction and check local rules with SAFA and the relevant land managers. Ozone, Vapor, Atak and BST are trademarks of their owner.
