After years of prototypes, test flights and a fair bit of secrecy, Ozone has finally pulled the covers off its first dedicated parakite. The Ozone Vapor is here, it's in Australia, and ParaglidingShop.com.au is taking pre-orders now with a $99 deposit.
Launch stock is limited. Once the first allocation is spoken for, the next wings go onto a production queue with a longer wait, so if you want to be flying a Vapor this season, the time to move is now.
What is a parakite?
Think of it as the point where Ozone's kite heritage and its glider heritage meet. A parakite is a compact, three-line wing you can kite around on the ground, launch in wind that would keep a normal paraglider in the bag, and then soar, dive and play with once you're up. Coastal dunes, mountain descents, early-morning valley sessions over dry ground, laminar sea breeze – that's Vapor country.
Why the Vapor is different
This isn't a paraglider with a kite bar bolted on. Ozone redesigned the whole concept from the profile out: a new reflex profile, modified cell openings, repositioned attachment tabs and a brand-new bridle system, paired with aerodynamics borrowed from their competition gliders. What you get is a 55-cell wing with a moderate aspect ratio that stays forgiving while still delivering plenty of power.

Take-off is effortless with smooth inflation in both weak and strong winds. Near the neutral point it flies like an easy paraglider; pull it on and it dives hard and responds instantly. Long, accessible brake travel and a low stall point make slow flying confidence-inspiring.
Sizes and colours
The Vapor comes in seven sizes from 11 m² to 25 m², all EN 926-1 certified. We're stocking 11, 13, 15, 17.5, 20 and 22.5. The 11 and 13 are speed-flying wings for expert pilots only. Ozone doesn't publish pilot weight ranges for the Vapor – sizing depends on your build, skill level and where you fly, so talk to us and we'll recommend the right one (Ozone's own tip: go one size larger than you'd normally pick for extra comfort).
Two stock colourways are available – T/W (teal/white) and X/W (pink/white) – plus full custom colours if you want something of your own.
Pair it with the Atak 2 harness
Ozone built the Atak 2 for exactly this kind of flying. It moves smoothly between standing and seated, the leg-strap geometry stays put on your thighs, it folds flat into the wing bag, and it gives sharp weight-shift response for fast turns and barrel rolls. EN 1651 certified to 120 kg, Edelrid carabiners included, sizes M (160–185 cm) and L (180–200 cm). You can add it to your Vapor pre-order as a package straight from the product page.

- Pay a $99 deposit at checkout. That's it – no full payment up front.
- We confirm the balance and delivery timing with you, and you pay the rest before your wing ships.
Your deposit secures a wing from the launch allocation in your chosen spec. This offer runs until launch stock sells out – after that, orders move to Ozone's standard production lead times.
