The Photon is a 2-liner paragliding wing designed by Ozone that offers near-competition class performance for experienced sport class pilots. The wing has been developed over a long period with extensive prototyping and safety testing, making use of all of Ozone's 2-liner know-how.
The wing is the most accessible 2-liner that Ozone has ever created and represents the missing link between conventional 3-liners and high-performance wings. The wing has a slightly lower aspect ratio, a more moderate cell count, a more inherently stable profile, and winglets that improve roll stability and spiral behaviour. The wing has excellent handling, is trimmed for safety and ease of use, and offers a direct angle of attack control throughout the speed range, making it ideal for experienced pilots. The wing has close to Zeno 2 glide performance, with improved sail cohesion and a lower aspect ratio that make it less demanding and more comfortable to fly, and is the fastest EN C wing Ozone has ever built. The wing has undergone extensive in-house collapse testing to ensure it meets safety requirements for sport class pilots and is suitable for experienced pilots with prior time flying EN C category wings and high levels of glider control skills with recent SIV experience.
Ozone has unveiled its latest two-line EN C paraglider, the Photon. Ozone has been working on the project for nearly two years and plans to reveal it at the Stubai Cup in Austria in March.
